The 1980s
Starting in the late 1980s Michael set up Fastframers in the city centre with our first workshop in Ringsend.
Michael spent the early years travelling across Europe & beyond researching the craft.
1990 - 2020
With the demand for our expertise growing in Dublin, we searched for a suitable new location. In 1991 we opened our Stillorgan store and also our new workshop facility in Greenhills. Our business grew, serving tens of thousands of customers knowing with pride that our work was being displayed all over the country.
2020 and beyond
in 2020 the youngest son (Daniel) entered the business fulltime and took the shop to new heights surpassing 200,000 satisfied customers.
In 2025 the prodigal son (Chris) returned to the business and joins Dan as we look to the future.
Our values remain the same, focussed on our craft and our customers, but our ambitions might be changing. Stay tuned to see what comes next!
